Latest : The Lobster Pot, Mousehole
Just arrived today, this robustly impressionist piece exudes confidence, colour and light. The Lobster Pot referred to in the title is the well-known inn of that name, which to this day serves food and drinks in a bustle-like extension at the rear, overlooking the harbour, as seen in the centre of this scene. Painted in oil on Daler board, probably in the late 1950s. This picture is very similar to a watercolour owned by my sister Caroline. More details are to follow.
